Using a Photoresistor using Raspberry Pi Pico

Aim

The goal of this activity is to demonstrate the integration of a photoresistor with Raspberry Pi Pico and display the measurements.

Materials Required

  1. Raspberry Pi Pico -1    
  2. Photoresistor -1
  3. I2C Display Module– 1       
  4.  LCD 1602 Display – 1     
  5. Several Jumper Wires   
  6. Micro USB Cable-1

Desired Outcome

A photoresistor can detect the presence of light in its path. Use a torch light (torch on your smartphone) and direct it on to the surface of the photoresistor. You will notice that the value on the display, which is a measure of intensity of light, increases with increased intensity of light and decreases with decreased intensity of light.
